Brave driver rescues dizzy skunk from traffic

Talk about a stinky situation.

Jeremi Lorenti and his buddy were driving when they spotted a strange sight - a skunk twirling in circles with a plastic cup firmly stuck on its head.

Braving a potentially horrific spraying, Lorenti quickly jumped to the little critter's rescue to prevent it from becoming yet another roadkill statistic.

The police showed up ... but didn't want to get involved. "He told me animal control wasn't available at the time and 'good luck,'" Lorenti posted on Reddit.

Using a blanket, Lorenti cautiously guided the skunk away from traffic and quickly freeing the perturbed polecat from its plastic hood.

Pepe Le Pew would be proud.
