Mamma Mia! A New Yorker has set a world record for the largest collection of pizza boxes, a pile of 595 cardboard artifacts he stores in his apartment.

Guinness World Records announced Scott Wiener's collection had earned him global pizza box dominance on Thursday as part of Guinness World Records Day. Other new records included the largest number of people dressed as penguins, most hula hoops spun at once and most bottles walked on.

Wiener is a pizza man by trade and obsession. He owns a pizza tour company that takes travellers to pizza restaurants and "Points of Pizza Interest" in New York City.

He nurtures an interest in the art on each of his pizza boxes, all of which are different, and he even has a box from a pizza that won another world record, according to Guinness. In his Brooklyn apartment, among the other boxes, Wiener has a 54-inch box from Big Mama's and Papa's Pizzeria in Los Angeles — the largest commercially available in the world.

Wiener has also published a book about pizza box design entitled "Viva La Pizza!" The Art of the Pizza Box. The press material describes him as "one of the world's foremost pizza experts."

Clearly, Wiener's one of the cheesiest guys around.
