Buskers inspire little girl to start impromptu dance party

There’s nothing like an impromptu dance party — and this one appears to have been started by a little girl in a bright pink coat.

As the band Coyote and Crow covered the Grateful Dead at the Bedford subway station in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, a little girl started to dance. Then so did a handful of others, with even more gathering around to watch the spontaneous celebration.

The cute dance party is now going viral.

Granted, this isn’t something you see every day — but it illustrates that this sort of spontaneous, infectious fun is something we city dwellers actually quite enjoy,” wrote Gillian Fuller of Elite Daily. “Because we know a life without a little goofiness isn’t a life worth living.”

“This is awesome,” wrote Reddit user pmhesse. “Never pass up the chance to dance with a little kid. Allowing that carefree joy to escape in the form of silly dance moves keeps you young, happy, and brave. I bet those folks felt like they could do anything after they were done.”

“Wonder how many in the crowd so wanted to dance but were too shy. We all needa loosen up!” wrote cloudsareunderrated.

In October, Peter Sharp of Perth, Australia, started a dance party on a moving train in an effort to encourage commuters to “no longer feel afraid or anxious about starting conversations on train.”
