Canadian comedian explains why all Muslims aren’t terrorists with Justin Bieber analogy

Comedian Susan Kent has a strong message to those Canadians who are attacking fellow citizens for being Muslim.

During her recent skit on the comedy program, ‘This Hour Has 22 Minutes,’ Kent uses a rather simple analogy and compares Justin Bieber to ISIS fighters, to explain why not all Muslims can be labelled as terrorists.

“Dear arseholes. We all hate ISIS - they’re monsters,” she said during her skit. “But do you know who else hates them? Muslims.”

Kent then points out that saying all Muslims support ISIS is the same as saying all Canadians act like Justin Bieber.

She estimated that there are about 1.6 billion Muslims all over the world, compared to 30,000 ISIS fighters and joked: “That’s the same proportion of Justin Bieber to all other Canadians.”

“Does that mean all Canadians throw tantrums while wearing expensive tights and giant T-shirts?"

"Attacking a whole group because someone in that group did something bad is always a dumb idea,” Kent said. “Whether it’s attacking Muslims for ISIS, Catholics for creepy priests or the entire Star Wars franchise for Jar Jar Binks.”

She finished off by saying if you really want to fight terrorism, “stop terrorizing people.”
