Cat gets head stuck in vase, ends up looking like 'Cleo-cat-ra’

Usually when a pet breaks something in your home, there’s no discernible upside. But once in a while the stars align and a cat breaks a vase and somehow ends up looking exactly like an Egyptian statue.

Such was the case for Reddit user Hardin314, whose recent post, “My friend’s cat got its head stuck in a vase, freaked out, broke the vase, and was left with this,” shows an alarmed black cat with what looks like a series of gold rings around its neck. It’s just what’s left of the vase, of course, but there’s no denying the kitty looks a cat version of Cleopatra.

Or Cleocatra, if you will. BOOM!

In fact, Redditor Dizneymagic added this image to the post’s comments section, where it was quickly voted to the top, followed by the apt observation that the statue and the cat even bear the same terror-stricken expression.

Then things got meta, as another Redditor hypothesized about how the statue got the gold necklace:

“Same thing happened 2000 years ago. But this was the only way to post it back then.”

To which another Redditor responded:

“I knew it this means this is a god damned repost.”

Riiiight.

No word on how they got the vase off the cat, but the photos appear to have been taken in a veterinarian’s office, so we’re guessing that Cleocatra got the attention she needed and is doing just fine.
