Caught on tape: Men catch two-year-old girl falling from fourth-floor window

Men catch toddler who falls from fourth-floor window

A group of deliverymen in China saved a little girl's life during an incident caught on camera by Closed Circuit Television.

Footage shows the moment two-year-old girl falls from a fourth-floor window off screen into the arms of five men below. The Telegraph reports the girl's name was Qiqi, and her parents had left her at home sleeping before she woke up and climbed onto the window ledge of her apartment in Ninghai, Zhejiang Province.

The men heard her screaming and ran over to catch her, according to the report. Qiqi survived with only a scrape, but two of her rescuers injured themselves during the catch.

On Wednesday, reports said another falling child in Brooklyn survived because of a heroic catch. Former major league baseball player and manager Joe Torre's daughter happened to be near a storefront when she saw a boy, only one year old, dangling about ten feet above the ground, according to New York Daily News.

Perhaps channeling her father's catching skills, Cristina Torre managed to position herself so the boy fell into her arms.

Joe Torre told New York Daily News he was proud of his daughter's lifesaving play. The boy's parents could face charges for leaving him in unsafe conditions, but Torre said she was just thankful the child was okay.
