Mac Breedlove was heading with the rest of his lacrosse team to a tournament and decided to cut in line to get on the flight earlier. But his coaches caught the sneaky move and decided to teach him a lesson in manners.

According to the New York Daily News, Breedlove's coaches coordinated with the flight crew and forced him to apologize over the PA system. He first tried to keep his apology short and just muttered "I apologize." But after some prodding by the flight attendant who wouldn't let Breedlove go back to his seat, he started reading a prepared statement hastily written by one of the coaches.

"My fellow travellers, today I come to you with great remorse," Breedlove started reading. "During the boarding process I took advantage of this airline's kindness. When some of my teammates were called to the front of the line, I was not. And yet, I cut in line."

Passengers began laughing as he struggled through the statement asking for forgiveness. Then the passengers erupted when he made a plug for Southwest suggesting people should always fly the airline because they let the coaches do this.

"My coaches taught me a valuable lesson in life in a very creative way," he said to ABC News. "Just be patient."
