As his little girl screamed and wailed off camera, bemoaning an unknown unfairness, the dad in this viral video turned to comedy to give frustrated mom some relief.

Kathy Sterner uploaded the video "40 year old tantrum" on Oct. 11, and it's since been viewed more than 885,000 times on YouTube. In it, her husband lip-syncs, rather accurately, to his daughter's tantrum, to the delight of the little girl's brother.

Sterner explained the situation in the video's description:

My 6 year old daughter had been in her room wigging out for about an hour, and there was no talking her down. I was getting fed up, so my husband decided to lighten the mood.

While the video doesn't explain why the 6-year-old was so upset, Sterner added a note in the description to explain that her daughter isn't always throwing fits.

"For the record, she's not typically a beast child - she's actually a pretty awesome little kid who was having a rough day. :)" the video description says.

Lighthearted parenting humour has brought others moments of viral fame, including Matthew Clarke, the creator of "Convos With My 2 Year Old," a web series in which he re-enacts real conversations with his daughter, Coco, but casts a grown man in his adorable, feisty little girl's place.
