Dead rat found in man’s birthday cake

A man found a dead rat in his birthday cake.

The best part about birthdays is obviously getting older – not!

It’s the cake! Unless of course, you find a dead rat baked right into your delicious birthday treat. Then, the getting older part seems so much better.

It’s disgusting but true. The family members of 96-year-old Joseph Vallenti, say they found a dead rat in his birthday cake.

At first they weren’t sure what it was but they knew it didn’t taste right.

After eating the cake, Vallenti suffered from stomach pains and diarrhea. Neil Gold, Vallenti’s niece’s boyfriend, investigated the cake and he saw what appeared to be a rat’s tail protruding from the inside.

Feel like throwing up yet? Oh, it gets worse.

Gold said he flipped the cake over and saw the whole rat-tail bleeding into the cake.

According to News 12 Long Island, Gold said that the tail was 5 inches long and he could also see what resembled the head of a rat as well. Disgusting!

The King Kullen grocery store bakery, where the cake was purchased, is being investigated. The product has been removed from the shelves and the premises has undergone a thorough inspection … apparently they are “rat-free.”

There are many cases of people finding strange things in their food. Like Clifford and Debbie Kendrew, who is sued McDonald’s after allegedly finding a used Band-Aid in their tasty French fries in 2007. Ew, gross.

Or the best one: a chunk of human flesh was found in a man’s Arby’s chicken sandwich. The man said he noticed the dangling piece of flesh and thought it was chicken skin, but then he noticed what looked like a fingerprint and realized he was wrong … so wrong he ran to the bathroom vomiting.

Still thinking of eating out tonight? You might want to cook at home … at least until your stomach stops turning from the idea of eating a dead rat. Happy Birthday, indeed!
