Animal print scrubs are out of control in Chatham-Kent, not to mention doctor recruitment strategies.

The Ontario municipality is trying to woo doctors into its emergency rooms using singing and dancing medical staff in a new video that parodies LMFAO's hit song, I'm Sexy and I know It.

Awkward lyric adaptations and goofiness abound in I'm an Emerg Doc and I know It, including jokes about printed scrubs and hip doctors. But it sure seems like medical staff in Chatham-Kent know how to party.

The video is part of a medical recruitment effort in the area, which has a doctor shortage, according to Chatham Daily News.

These medical professionals want you to know they can wiggle.

"I've got passion in my scope and I'm not afraid to show it," the cape-wearing man playing the doctor in the video says. Patients hold up paper signs describing their ailments, such as a pregnant woman pretending her water has broken.

"Doc look at that patient!" the nurses say each time they whip back the curtain to the beat.

But the silliness isn't for nothing.

"Fun times aside, we are serious about physician recruitment," a message at the end of the video says.

Doctor shortages in rural areas and small towns across Canada feature regularly in the news. CBC News reported this winter that almost 40 rural communities in Alberta struggle with a lack of doctors.

Maybe the video recruitment trend will catch on. Bring on the dancing doctors.
