Michigan man skis behind car on snowy roads, gets nabbed by cops

Don’t try this at home.

On Sunday night, a vehicle towed a skier down metro Detroit’s snowy roads — a huge safety no-no — right into the view of 7 Action News cameras.

The skier appeared on camera just as Warren Mayor Jim Fouts was talking about the dangerous road conditions with reporters.

"It’s horrendous, and that driver would certainly get a ticket if there was a police officer in that area,” Fouts said. “It’s very dangerous.”

There was.

It wasn’t long before the driver and skier were pulled over and questioned by police — still on camera.

"That’s treacherous and foolhardy. I would urge all residents to avoid anything like that," Fouts commented on the dangerous stunt, warning that vehicles’ stopping distances are compromised on snowy roads.

At least the skier was wearing clothes.

That same day, a Michigan man ditched his coat, pants, and, well, everything else, and started walking down the middle of Interstate 75 wearing nothing but a cowboy hat. The man was stopped police and taken to a nearby hospital.
