Feisty feline defends his turf from determined dachshund

No dogs allowed.

This kitten was not impressed that a dog was hanging out in his cat condo, and felt he had no other option but to forcefully evict the dachshund squatter.

After the feisty feline kicked out the dog – with only some minor violence required – the dachshund returned.

So the cycle continued, with the territorial cat pacing around her abode, waiting to strike at the dog finding shelter there.

A second eviction attempt was more successful than the first, and the cat was left alone to gloat in her dog-free home.

But cats and dogs don't always get along like, well, cats and dogs.

Max the cattle dog befriended Ralphee, a kitten born with the neurological disorder known as feline cerebellar hypoplasia that left him with a wobbly walk.

According to Adam Cox of Wakaleo Animal Channel, "Ever since Ralphee was brought home, Max is never far away. He appears to be forever curious and watches over Ralphee wherever she goes. Ralphee is growing more mischievous by the day and loves to see what Max is doing as well. She will often get excited when he is nearby and leap in the air before playfully charging in his direction."

And Idgie the dachshund doesn't like spending time apart from Ruth, a 7-month-old paralyzed cat.

"I mean, we've seen friendships between dogs and cats before, but never anything like this. Idgie would take a bullet for that cat," said Jacqueline Borum, who adopted the animals as a pair.
