Emma Murphy usually spends her days sharing daily fitness and nutrition tips with her Facebook followers, but her recent video is a shocking confession about her own life.

Earlier this week, the 26-year-old from Dublin uploaded a video sharing her struggle with domestic violence in order to raise awareness.

In the video, Murphy is seen with a black eye and trying to hold back tears as she talks about falling victim to an abusive relationship. The mother of two has been in a three-and-a-half year marriage with a guy she thought “was the love of my life.”

“I thought long and hard before posting this video, this is very difficult for me but I have to do what is right,” Murphy wrote on her Facebook page. “Please share this video to inspire other woman around the world, violence is not the answer!”

In the video, the mother tells her followers about when the abuse started and how she tried to forgive him before eventually leaving the relationship.

Last year, she found out that her husband was cheating on her while she was pregnant.

“I loved him so much that I tried to forgive him and give him another chance and took him back,” she said in the video. “And unfortunately, I found out that he did it again.”

Last Friday, she confronted him for cheating on her for the second time. According to Murphy, he punched her in the eye and it wasn’t the first time. Last year, “he split my head open.”

And it wasn’t just physical abuse that Murphy endured. Her husband also attacked her verbally telling her she was paranoid, nuts , a psycho and that her “insecurities will kill her someday.”

“No man has any right to put his hand on a woman, even once is unacceptable,” Murphy said. “And it’s only now that I have realized that.”

Murphy turned to family and friends for support when she finally decided to walk away. And she also encourages others to find the courage to leave.

The emotional video went viral over the last few days, with more than six million views and 100,000 thousand shares.

According to The Irish Sun, her partner spoke to the news outlet admitting that he did push her but he didn’t punch her.

“I did sleep with someone else,” he told the news outlet. “But I did not punch her and I absolutely did not split her head open.”

A source also revealed to The Irish Sun that “this is being treated as a suspected assault at the moment. Investigations are ongoing.”
