Florida woman films herself driving drunk on Periscope, gets arrested

Take a moment to shake your head for the woman who decided it was a great idea to film herself live on Periscope while driving, lost and drunk.

Periscope allows its user to live-stream video and broadcast it to whomever follows their account.

Lakeland police received calls on Saturday about a suspected drunk driver from concerned viewers, who were watching 23-year-old Whitney Beall, according to WTSP 10 News.

“I think I’m on a flat tire which is horrible,” said a clearly intoxicated Beall in the the beginning of the 11-minute long video, appropriately titled “Drunk girl driving” on Periscope.

Numerous times throughout the video Beall tells her viewers “I’m f***ing drunk” while aimlessly driving and filming with her smartphone at the same time.

Police were able to track her down using the landmarks in the background of the video.

“I got to tell you I was a little shocked,” Sgt. Gary Gross told WTSP. “After 30 years of law enforcement I hadn’t seen anything like this before.”

Baell was eventually pulled over by local authorities, where she appeared drunk and disoriented, leading to her subsequent failed sobriety test and DUI.
