Flower girl steals the show at wedding with a kiss

Most people attending a wedding are aware of the golden rule: Never show up the bride.

That is… everyone except for Anderson, the four-year-old daughter of the bride who recently stole the show during her mother’s nuptials.

In this particular case, however, Michelle Hall was happy to share the spotlight.

The young girl, who the wedding photographer said “was calling herself the bride the whole day,” didn’t hesitate to make a memorable moment during the couple’s wedding photos.

“I was setting up the bridal party to take the bridal party photographs – like I do at every wedding – and so I took a few shots of that, and then said, ‘Okay, I need the bride and the groom to kiss,’” Leah Bullard, the wedding photographer, explained to WBIR News.

“So when I said that, well naturally [Anderson] thought I was referring to her because she thought she was the bride and so naturally she just leaned in for a kiss and kissed that ring bearer!”

The immortalized moment shows Michelle kissing her new husband, Anthony Palmer, while right below them, Anderson’s arm wrapped around the unsuspecting ring bearer’s neck, planting a kiss on him.

They tried it again, but Anderson’s time in the sun wasn’t over.

“I said, ‘Okay, let’s try that again, one more time bride and groom kiss…’ and she really went for it that time and it was hilarious!” said Bullard.

“I strive to capture the moment of the day, so for me to be able to capture that moment, that’s a moment that the families can look back on for years to come and laugh and relive it over again.”

Bullard told WBIR that the little girl considered it her wedding as well as her mother’s.

And for those of you wondering whether wedding bells lie in the distant future for Anderson and the ring bearer, Ike, Anderson stresses that they’re just friends.

“He was the best ring bearer ever! And he even thought I was the best flower girl ever! We’re best friends,” she said.
