Golden retriever fails obedience competition, wins at life

Go for the gold — or, in this case, the treats.

At an obedience competition in Finland, the task was simple: Dogs were to run down a track, ignoring the treats and toys along its perimeter, reaching their young owners at the other end as fast as possible.

The first two dogs played by the rules.

The third, a golden retriever, just couldn’t help himself: Despite approaching the starting line with all seriousness, when his owner called him, he went for every single treat.

While he had no chance of winning, he certainly walked away as the happiest dog of the bunch.

The dog could learn a thing or two about self-control from this pup.
