Growing Lego trend has people creating apocalyptic scenes

Lego is usually about building things up, but one growing trend for creating scenes has to do with a world where everything has been torn down.

It's called ApocaLego and the Flickr group with the same name has more than 1,000 members and 4,000 pictures where people show off their works of art. Many of the images are extremely detailed scenes that look like they could be right out of the movies 'The Book of Eli' or the 'The Road' and include lots of bikers, ruined buildings and collapsed bridges.

Some of the people are also taking their Lego artwork and creating video scenes using stop motion to show what will happen during the apocalypse.

Even though it is Lego, the videos include some extremely graphic material.

According to John Baichtal in a boingboing article, the Lego Group will never release a set for building an end of days scene.
