Guy sends texts, selfies to girl about his lost sunglasses for an entire year

When it comes to persistence, this guy knows the lengths it takes in order to get a response back from someone regarding your lost sunglasses.

Imgur user ‘phillyalex’ spent an entire year sending messages to a girl about his favourite shades and uploaded his story on the site, Mirror reports.

The story began last summer, when Alex met a girl named Anna, he explains on Imgur.

They hit it off on their first date and decided to meet up again the following week at a bar. Alex was at a baseball game that day and was wearing his sunglasses. So when the two met up, he asked Anna to put them in her purse.

All was well until Anna ditched Alex when she went outside to make a phone call and never came back.

“Fine, I wasn’t into her anyway,” Alex wrote. “But what was not fine was that she left with my sunglasses.”

So he texted her: “You stole my sunglasses,” but received no reply.

Instead of giving up, Alex continued to send her messages for an entire year. He accessorized himself with other sunglasses and sent her selfies. He checked in on many special holidays like Valentine’s Day and April Fool’s Day hoping she would eventually take the bait and respond.

His patience paid off and Anna finally replied.

“Here’s the deal Alex,” she wrote. “I moved to San Francisco in January. The sunglasses got out [put] on top of the fridge after I found them in my purse…unfortunately idk [I don’t know] what happened to your beloved sunglasses. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.”

Alex told her to message him if she’s ever back in Philadelphia and she revealed that she will be visiting the city soon.

Maybe there’s a love story after all between these two.
