A kitten and a piglet have become the best of friends, releasing what can only be described as a cataclysmic tsunami of cuteness.

The piglet is called Laura and the kitten goes by the name Marina. Both live in Santuario Igualdad Interspecie, an animal sanctuary based in Santiago, Chile, reports Viral Nova. Laura was saved by activists from the slaughterhouse, while Marina was rescued from a hungry existence wandering the streets.

According to the sanctuary’s Facebook post about the cuddly duo, Laura became friends with Marina as soon as she arrived, and the two baby animals have become inseparable.

In the post, Santuario Igualdad Interspecie writes: “Laura has formed a profound relationship with the kitten Marina, demonstrating by example that when you bring friendship and respect to a relationship, it doesn’t matter what species you are.”

Judging from the affection on display in the video accompanying the post, shared on January 28, these two creatures certainly seem to be besotted with one another.

Laura is wearing a pink flowery jumper and gently nuzzles Marina with her snout while Marina playfully bats at Laura’s nose with her tiny paws. The babies groom each other adorably and then fall asleep in each other’s arms an a big fluffy pink pillow.

It’s the sort of stuff viral Internet dreams are made of, so it comes as little surprise that the video has already garnered more than 3.6 million views.
