Man applies for job at Snapchat — with Snapchat résumé

Elksi Felson wants a job at Snapchat.

To prove he’s a fan of the company and a user of the popular app, he applied for a job — probably this onewith a Snapchat video, not a paper résumé.

“Personally, I hate paper résumés,” he said in the video. “I don’t think a piece of paper can encapsulate anybody. So I decided to make you a ‘My Story.’”

In his video application, Felson lists his qualifications, experience and application requirements — he rides a bike while spinning a basketball on one finger to prove his impressive multitasking skills, and shows a graph of his enthusiasm for graphs — explaining why he’s worthy of the position.

He even takes an ugly selfie, just because the Snapchat team listed the skill as something they’re looking for.

“Even if I never hear from Snapchat, I had a blast making this video and made a lot of cool friends along the way,” he wrote in the video’s YouTube description.

Felson has yet to hear back from Snapchat.

On Reddit, Felson explained that he’d been looking for a job for months, and was ready to try a new approach to job-hunting.

“I’ve been searching for a professional job for almost 8 months now. I’m totally fed up with the system. Applying online over and over and hearing nothing back…it’s a disheartening crapshoot,” he wrote.

If this latest résumé is any indication of his work ethic and creativity, we’re sure he’ll find a job in no time.
