Whoever runs the Facebook page for Aussie supermarket Woolworths must be feeling like a rap master right about now.

All it took was one post for people to start swearing their allegiance to the store over social media.

It all started when Jamie McGloin wrote a post on the company’s page about a package of spaghetti he’d bought playing with the lyrics from ‘Eminem’s Lose Yourself,’ reports the Sydney Morning Herald.

A simple Facebook like and it all could have ended right there, but Woolworths had different plans.

“Dear Jamie, you can do anything you set your mind to man,” reads the initial reply from the company account. “The answer to your burning question is pretty clear… All you need to do is lose yourself in the spaghetti, the sauce, you own it. You better never let it go! You’ve only got one pan, don’t miss your chance to cook, cuz dinner only comes once in a day. Yo.”

Drop the mic.

The reply has over 170k likes on Facebook so far and as the counter rose, the person at the keyboard couldn’t resist temptation.

“May I have your attention please? May I have your attention please? Will the real spaghetti please stand up? I repeat, will the real spaghetti please stand up? We’re gonna have a problem here..” they replied again.

And just like that, they were hooked.

The following comment section includes puns like, “Spa-gett it girl!”, “Don’t Spaghett about us”, even replying to one user’s confusion about what was going on with more lyrics to confuse him even more, “make sure you remember to go round the outside.”

The company would go on to reference numerous other hit tracks from various artists, even a few more from Eminem.

But all good things come to an end.

McGloin posted an update to his own Facebook page with a picture of a package of pasta and a handwritten letter from Woolworths saying “We wanted to say thanks for the good times.”

The pasta – fettuccine.
