Must-see videos of the week – Oct. 26

Time to get in the spirit of Halloween, everyone! And with this week's must-see videos, we have you covered and educated. This week, we've learned that pumpkins can be carved with a gun (if you've got the right equipment), a pet gerbil can be dressed up as a world record holder, and a prank can scare the daylights out of anyone unfortunate enough to get involved. Throw in an obligatory baby and U.S. presidential race video, and we've got you covered for this week in videos!

1. Pumpkin Carving With a Gun

Carving pumpkins isn't easy, but chances are you aren't going to resort to a Colt 45, like this intrepid gourd gouger, to get the job done. YouTube user Hickok45, who has also posted a video in which he carves a pumpkin with an Arsenal SGL 21 rifle, showcased his pointing-and-shooting prowess by giving this pumpkin the requisite two eyes, a nose and a mouth to qualify it as a correctly carved jack-o-lantern. SPOILER ALERT: it's double-sided!

2. World's Smallest Dog?

Poor little Meysi clearly has a bit of an identity crisis. Is she a large hamster? Or is she really the world's smallest dog? She's too young to earn that title yet, but give her another nine months, and she'll be old enough to get recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the smallest dog in the world. And at only 92 grams, she's got a good chance of earning it.

3. Elevator Prank: Floor Falls Away

LG wanted to showcase just how crisp and clear its new IPS monitors were. The organizers came up with a very unique way to do it: they tiled an elevator floor with the screens, then played a clip of the floor tiles giving way to an empty elevator shaft below. The campaign, called So Real, It's Scary, seems to have worked out well for them, as the video has reached 10 million views since it went up a week ago.

4. Baby Hates the Sounds Cats Make

This kid is definitely not a cat person. At four months old, the son of YouTube user SilverTongueJona10 seems to be quite indifferent about dogs, but looks very perturbed when hearing his mother meow. Some theories floating around online suggest that his mum's meowing sounds like she's in pain, but personally, I think he's just destined to not commune with felines.

5. Presidential Debate: Bob Schieffer Makes the Obama-Osama Gaffe

Whoopsy, this is probably not a mistake you'd want to make with an entire nation watching. The moderator of the third U.S. presidential debate, Bob Schieffer of CBS, had a slip of the tongue when posing a question about Osama bin Laden. He clearly caught himself partway through, trying to smooth it over by making it possessive and saying "Obama's bin Laden," but it still caught the attention of everyone watching — and everyone who read about it the next day.
