New Nikon camera can zoom in on the moon

The sky is no longer the limit for Nikon, as their newest digital camera can zoom in on the moon.

The Nikon Coolpix P900 camera not only shows the remarkable details of the moon’s surface but the Earth’s rotation as well. The camera is just that powerful.

One recent video shows German photographer Lothar Lenz demonstrating the moon-zooming capabilities. The moon is hardly visibly at the beginning, but then its equipped 83x optical zoom helps capture the rocky surface and the moon’s craters in detail. The impressive zoom range doesn’t stop there, as a few seconds later the moon is seen drifting through the frame.

Naturally, the video has already racked up over two million views. Other demo videos also show the camera’s amazing capabilities, including its zoom out from a flying plane high above in the sky.

Besides its stellar image quality, the Nikon camera also has built-in Wi-Fi and can wirelessly connect to a smartphone for instant photo sharing. It can even record the exact location of each shot.

Photographers are sure going wild over this impressive camera. On websites like Amazon, the camera is already temporarily out of stock.

But how much will one of these cameras cost?

The price isn’t completely out of this world, given its quality. It will cost around $600 to get a hand on one of these cool cameras.
