Now available on eBay: Florida man selling his entire life

Popular online shopping depot eBay offers some pretty unusual wares — anything from "annoying but cuddly grandmothers" to a piece of Britney Spears' used chewing gum has been found among its ranks of items for sale.

(Full disclosure: bidding on the gum reached $14,000).

But as Oddity Central reports, a Florida man is upping the ante by putting his entire life up on the auction block.

Shane Butcher has done very well by any standard. In his 29 years on the planet, the Tampa Bay resident has managed to accumulate millions through his video game business and multiple properties.

In addition to his two beachside homes, Butcher has acquired several luxury cars and two kayaks.

Despite his success, however, the young entrepreneur has grown weary of his lot and is looking to embark upon newer and more impressive challenges.

"If you build a castle, it's awesome to sell it and then start building another one, hopefully bigger and better," was his rationale.

For this reason, Butcher has put his self-described "American Dream" up for sale on eBay.

For $3.5 million, you can purchase Butcher's old life, which includes his three R.U. Game? stores, his homes and almost everything in them, his expensive cars, plus his entire collection of rare games and gaming systems.

Just because he's a generous guy, the businessman has offered to pay the leases on his stores for one year, and will stick around for six months to make sure the new owner of Butcher's old life knows how to run it properly.

Not for sale? Butcher's wife, children, and family pet.

And lest you believe this is the strangest thing to be sold, a New Mexico woman made headlines a few years back for trying to unload her "slightly used soul."

Bidding started at $2,000 USD (plus $5.50 for expedited metaphysical shipping).
