Police chase knife-swinging ‘unicorn’ through Victoria cemetery
The Daily Buzz
It sounds like a scene straight of a hazy, terrifying nightmare: an adrenaline-pumping, night time chase through a cemetery – pursued by a knife-wielding unicorn.
Victoria police were called to the Ross Bay Cemetery last weekend, after a concerned citizen reported seeing a man wearing a unicorn mask chasing another man with a large hunting knife, reported CTV News.
“Sometimes, unfortunately, we get calls that can be described as fanciful at best,” police spokesman Bowen Osoko said in a statement. “In this case, the call was exactly as described.”
According to Osoko, officers arrived at the scene to find the victim attempting to escape his masked attacker by getting into a vehicle.
Officers demanded the man drop his knife, only to be told that the two men were filming a “funny video.”
The two Victoria men in their early 30s were apologetic, Osoko explained in the statement, and no unicorn tears were shed.
