Puppy pool ‘pawty’ makes us wish summer could last just a little longer

The dog days of summer might be nearing an end, but that doesn't mean it's time to cancel the pool parties just yet — or should be say "pool pawties"?

Earlier this week, some happy canines at Lucky Puppy, a cage-free Maybee, Michigan doggy daycare centre, splish-splashed the day away in the centre's brand-new bone-shaped in-ground pool.

When they're not swimming laps and playing water polo, the dogs have a three-acre playground to run around in, and another seven acres of nature trails to explore. (We want to go to there.)

Here they are again: a few days earlier, just as thrilled.

Some dogs are really living the life.

At Happy Tails Resort in Norfolk, Virginia, the pool isn't bone-shaped — or outdoors, even — but the dogs don't seem to care.

There ain't no party like a puppy pool party.
