Record-breaking cod is as long as the fisherman who caught it

Dinner is served.

At least, dinner could be served for about 200 people with the meat of an enormous cod caught off the coast of Norway last month, according to the Telegraph.

However, the fisherman who caught it says he'll donate the fish to a museum, according to the Daily Mail.

Michael Eisele told the tabloid he was visiting Norway from Germany on a fishing trip, sitting in the boat with friends, when he felt the bite on his line that will earn him a world record if it's confirmed.

He said he spent a half hour trying to reel in the giant cod, which weighed 103 pounds.

The current listed weight record for an Atlantic cod is 98 pounds, according to the International Game Fish Association. An angler named Alphonse Bielevich caught the cod off the Isle of Shoals in New Hampshire.

Factors including overfishing have reduced cod populations, according to the World Wildlife Federation.

Canada has had a moratorium against cod fishing for more than 20 years.

What they lack in numbers, this one makes up for in size. This king of the cod must have had the other fish saying, "We'll have what he ordered."
