Robby Novak, Kid President meets actual President Obama

Kid President, meet your taller, older counterpart.

Two powerful leaders have finally met at an important event during which one of them played pretend with the Oval Office phone. That leader was 9-year-old Kid President, otherwise known as Robby Novak.

Novak claimed leadership over the kid realm after a series of videos produced by his family and picked up by the organization Soul Pancake.

His governing mandate?

"I"m not in a party. I am a party."

That sound bit of philosophy has taken Novak all the way to the White House. His presidential meeting was documented in a YouTube video posted on Thursday.

It's a tough job being a leader of kids, a third-grader and a tiny funny man all at the same time, and President Obama asked how Kid President was managing his presidential duties on top of all of his third grade school work. Novak said he was managing very well.

Novak, for his part, told President Obama he was "doing awesome" and the two of them shared a hug.

All in all, not a bad day's work.

Real-life Kid President is actually the younger brother-in-law of his creator, Brad Montague, and he has a condition called Osteogenesis Imperfecta, which causes brittle bones, according to his website.

Kid President's popular videos, which feature jokes, dancing and heartfelt ideas about changing the world, also led him to the White House for an April Fool's Day prank this week.

The White House Twitter account announced a special video message from the president but what followed was his tiny imitator, playing a prank in the White House briefing room.

"It's everybody's duty to give the world a reason to dance," he said.
