Roller coaster installed in home to give buyers the grand tour

This house is sure to make an impression.

While some real estate agents try to lure buyers with warm cookies and the smell of homemade bread, this open house has no competition.

To make the viewing of a home in Ermelo, Netherlands, an unforgettable experience, real estate broker Verder met Wonen installed a wooden roller coaster throughout the seller’s home.

As potential buyers whiz past each room, a loudspeaker announces important selling features about the home.

The roller-coaster tour is part of a month-long campaign by the Dutch bank ABM Amro, during which the bank is offering out-of-the-box selling approaches to sweepstakes winners looking to attract potential buyers.

No word on whether the promotional video helped sell the home, which had already been on the market for six months when it received its amusement-park-worthy upgrade — and plenty of new attention.

Unfortunately, the roller coaster is not included in the price of the five-bedroom €645,000 ($907,495 CAD) home.
