Scorned husband literally gives his ex-wife half of everything he owns

When a couple breaks up, laws stipulate a fair division of matrimonial property. This German man, however, took the term ‘splitting up’ quite literally.

Going by the online name of ‘Der Juli,’ this jaded divorcee is breaking everything he and his ex-wife owned in half.

The man posted a video on YouTube entitled ‘For Laura’. In it, he stars alongside an array of power tools that he uses to break apart various pieces of the couple’s furniture, electronic items, and even a car.

The translated description of the video reads: “Thank you for 12 ‘beautiful’ years, Laura! You’ve really earned half.”

The video has so far racked up more than 1.6 million views, with one of the viewers writing: “fortunately they did not share children.”

The video ends with a sarcastic sign-off that reads: “greetings to my successor.”

According to ‘Der Juli,’ he will be selling his portions on eBay.

Items currently up for grabs include a massacred REM record, a mailbox, a bicycle, a Samsung TV and an Apple Macbook Pro, reports news.com.au.

At the time of this post, the most expensive item on the list is the front half of a green Opel car. It is currently up to about $280 CAD.

Unfortunately, at this time Der Juli is not shipping his items to Canada.

But we have to wonder if his ex-wife, Laura, also left with half of his heart.
