Semi-truck jumps over moving F1 racecar

This stunt is not for the faint of heart.

Recently, the Lotus F1 Team and EMC teamed up to pursue a Guinness World Record for longest jump by a semi-truck.

To raise the stakes, they had the truck jump over a speeding Lotus Formula 1 car in the process.

Fortunately for everyone involved, the daredevil jump was a success, with the truck-jumping a world record 83 feet, 7 inches.

Car and Driver reported that both Mike Ryan, the truck’s driver, and Martin Ivanov, the man behind the wheel in the F1 car, have extensive experience as stunt drivers.

(Translation: Don’t try this at home.)
