Solid platinum heels by House of Borgezie available for $116,000

The House of Borgezie has released a pair of solid platinum stilettos called Cleopatra, designed by Christopher Shellis.

Fashionistas can now strut in metallic glory atop a pair of platinum heels billed as the world's first. And becoming a metal princess will only set you back about $116,000.

The House of Borgezie has released a pair of solid platinum stilettos called Cleopatra, designed by Christopher Shellis, who spent four years working with hot metal to build them, according to the company. The result is a pair of shoes with the word Borgezie spelled out in across the heel and toe strap, available in platinum, white gold or yellow gold.

"The fundamental pursuit of all Borgezie designs is to create truly timeless icons, that would not look out of place if they were adorned upon a legionary princess of classical antiquity within a gold and marble palace," the company wrote.

Princesses — and anyone else who can afford these shoes — get an eternal warranty.

Borgezie's other products include the even pricier Eternal Borgezie Diamond Siletto, which is encrusted with diamonds and available for nearly $200,000.

The stilettos join a list of other extravagant footwear, including a $50,000 pair of Nike sneakers with diamonds surrounding the swoosh sign, bought by rapper Antwan 'Big Boi' Patton.

Stuart Weitzman's Rita Hayworth Heels, which appeared in Shawshank Redemption, are valued at $3 million.

One of the most valuable and storied pairs of shoes remains the ruby slippers worn by Judy Garland in 1939 for the film Wizard of Oz.
