‘Stop Harper’ written in snow on Parliament Hill

This photo posted to Twitter by CTV's Mercedes Stephenson shows someone stamping "Stop Harper" into the snow with their feet.

It seems someone has decided to use the snow hanging around in Ottawa to express their distaste for the prime minister.

A protestor wrote ‘STOP HARPER’ in the snow with their feet on Parliament Hill this morning. The message was large enough and clear enough for spectators to snap a photo from building rooftops surrounding Parliament Hill.

Many snagged a photo of the snowy protest message and posted it to Twitter.

This latest "Stop Harper" message was likely inspired by that now-infamous sign held up by parliamentary page Brigette DePape in the Senate back in 2011. DePape, in all her page regalia, held up a hand-painted stop sign with the words "STOP HARPER," protesting Harper's agenda and wasteful spending, according to the press release DePape's friend distributed.

Since then, DePape has turned her 15 minutes of fame into an ongoing campaign against the Harper government with her organization Sh#% Harper Did. Currently, there's no word on whether Sh#% Harper Did has any connection to the snowtest... er, protest.

If the snow hasn’t melted yet, maybe Harper can write a rebuttal in the snow for his creative hater upon his return from Ukraine…or, if there's any snow left, they can just duke it out in a good ol' fashioned snowball fight!
