Students put their lips to work in mistletoe prank

A video of a mistletoe prank has racked up more than 1.2 million views this week.

A group of videographers cornered students on campus at Brigham Young University in Utah to ask them a few questions about Christmas traditions.

Kaitlin Snow and Nate Turley, listed as "bait" in the video's description, discussed eggnog and leaving cookies for Santa before asking interviewees if they kiss under the mistletoe. The pranksters then lowered a mistletoe into view during the last question to test whether or not students really mean it when they say they're willing to follow the tradition.

The result is awkwardness, a slap, and adorable elderly couples kissing under the mistletoe. Enjoy.
