Subway rider explains why everybody hates vapers

There’s no doubt that vaping has gone mainstream - enough so that cities, provinces and states are enacting measures to limit, if not outlaw, the act, at least in public.

In Prince Edward Island and Manitoba, restrictions are in place to limit where papers can inhale, while Chicago treats vaping the same as smoking a cigarette, outlawing it from most public places.

While there’s no smell like the one from a burning cigarette, vaping comes with its own set of nuisances to bystanders, as summarized aptly in a Tumblr post by Daniel Kanhai, a 23 year-old who lives in New York City and ostensibly is a frequent patron of the city’s public transit system.

From the number of times Kanhai's post has been liked and shared, it's apparent more than a few people share his concerns with public vaping.

While it’s acknowledged to be healthier than smoking a cigarette, the jury is still out on the negative factors that come with vaping. An infographic produced by Yahoo Health seems to imply that it’s far from the panacea vapers claim.
