Elderly couple praised for helping young man with his tie

A photo snapped by a commuter in Atlanta of an elderly man helping a younger gentleman with his tie is going viral.

Redd Desmond Thomas was waiting to catch a train when he saw a young man utterly perplexed about how to do up his tie.

According to Thomas’ post, the woman noticed the young man fumbling with his tie.

“'Do you know how to tie it properly?’ The young guy said ‘No ma'am.’ She taps her husband and says 'Come to this side [her right side; he was standing on her left side] and teach this young man how to tie his tie,” the post reads.

The elderly man happily showed him how to do it, even having the younger man do it in front of him to ensure he got it down.

Little is known about the elderly couple but they are being praised for their random act of kindness through comments and the thousands of shares the photo has received since being posted.
