Toddler’s LED Halloween costume makes her a glowing online star

A video uploaded this week of a 22-month-old girl wobbling toward the camera in her light up, stick person Halloween costume is adorable and frightening at the same time.

California photographer Royce Hutain created the costume for his daughter and the attention it's garnered — more than 8 million views in a few days — has him offering to sell versions of the costume for next year.

In the video, the little girl emerges from behind a corner shouting with delight, though all that's visible is a glowing stick figure outline. As she nears the camera, she becomes visible as a toddler rather than a light-up alien life-form.

"She is 22 months old and loves wearing the suit," Hutain wrote in the video description.

Hutain posted he was in the process of working on an instructional video about how he made the LED stick figure costume. He also uploaded a video of snowboarders wearing similar light costumes while riding down the slopes.

The stick figure outfit is among other impressive costumes this year, including the pink flamingo outfit designed by Paralympian and amputee Josh Sundquist, which is delightful because he wears it upside-down, with his one leg as the beak and his arms, held by crutches, as the bird's legs.
