Need a little Friday afternoon pick-me-up? You’re in luck.

Here’s David Hasselhoff’s new music video for his single, “True Survivor,” from the Kickstarter-funded film Kung Fury.

Warning: It’s pretty awesome.

“This is instantly the best thing you will see all day, all week, all month and maybe even all year. Game over,” wrote Vince Neilstein of MetalSucks.

“Say THANK YOU for putting this in your life,” Jared Leto tweeted, sharing the video with his 2 million followers.

It has everything we hope to see in a campy ‘80s’-themed music video: dinosaurs, Vikings, bad graphics, bomber jackets, keytars, ninjas and Nazis. And David Hasselhoff with a mullet.

“The song is perfect for me as I really am — in real life — a true survivor,” Hasselhoff, 62, told Idolator.

Watch the trailer for Kung Fury — “a visually spectacular action comedy that has its foundation in ‘80s cop movies” — below.

And here is, perhaps, the greatest plot description of all time:

“During an unfortunate series of events a friend of Kung Fury is assassinated by the most dangerous kung fu master criminal of all time; Adolf Hitler, a.k.a Kung Führer. Kung Fury decides to travel back in time, to Nazi Germany, in order to kill Hitler and end the Nazi empire once and for all.”

“The ‘80s was about fun, action and heroes,” Hasselhoff told Idolator. “Kung Fury has it all! I’m honoured to be involved with [director] David Sandberg, an up-and-coming force of nature in the animation digital entertainment world.”

Kung Fury will premiere on YouTube on May 28.
