TV anchor breaks down laughing when telling story about passing gas

A local news anchor recently learned a tough lesson in keeping your cool during live television after breaking down during a U.S. broadcast.

FOX8 Cleveland anchor Tracy McCool hadn't seen the script and when she began reading a story about a man that passed gas while being arrested by police, she lost her cool.

McCool makes it part way through the story, until she says "passed gas" at which point she breaks out in laughter. She tries one more sentence from the news script before being completely overcome by a giggle fit and asks her co-anchor to continue reading.

Leaning back in his chair with arms crossed, Wayne Dawson continues reading.

"To put that story in there was wrong," says Dawson after finishing the script.

McCool, obviously blindsided by the story finally gets her breath back at the end of the clip to say, "I didn't even see that when looking through the script, he snuck that in there."
