Videos of cliff jumping make the Internet’s knees shake

As breakups go, getting pushed off a cliff is a pretty good reason for a split. In a video uploaded last week that's already been viewed more than 2.8 million times, one woman's boyfriend decides she won't mind if he gives her a little shove — off a cliff overlooking a canyon. The woman is locked in with a harness and standing on the edge but when the countdown comes, several times, she can't bring herself to jump. Her boyfriend approaches under the guise of comforting her and she tells him that he better not push her. Then he does.

She pauses from screaming in terror long enough to yell that she's breaking up with him. Another video by this YouTube user, Devin Graham, has racked up 7 million views since he uploaded it on Feb. 26. It documents the set up and use of a swing over a 400-foot deep canyon, according to the filmmaker's estimate in the behind the scenes footage

Watching the jumpers stand at the edge of the cliff is enough to make your knees knock, never mind the footage taken from the jumpers' perspective using a GoPro camera as they plummet to the depths of the canyon. Graham's former video of a rope swing on an archway has been viewed more than 16 million times since last year. He says in the behind the scenes for the new excursion that he wanted to try something bigger.
