Videos parody Chris Hadfield wringing out a towel, clipping nails back home

Hadfield at home

Gravity is tricky.

It's certainly been giving astronaut Chris Hadfield a pain in the neck this week as he readjusts to Earth after five months in space. He said at a news conference on Thursday that his body feels like he played "a hard game of rugby."

In his disoriented state, Hadfield appears to have forgotten that instructional videos aren't very useful on Earth. Either that, or a fake-moustachioed imposter has been uploading parodies of the astronaut.

In the videos, Hadfield struggles to create more of the videos that enraptured the public while he was in space, except from his home in Canada.

Spoiler: Earth is boring.

So far, Sean Ireland and a group of others credited in the video descriptions have parodied two of Hadfield's short videos, about clipping nails and wringing out a washcloth in space.

In the first video, the actor posing as Hadfield gives straight-faced instructions about how to wring out a washcloth, casually pointing out that a lot of water appears to be dripping onto the counter top.

In the second video, Hadfield explains how to clip your fingernails. Well explained, Mr. Hadfield, but do try to hang on to that microphone.

The views are already piling up and with videos by Hadfield on everything from brushing your teeth in space to sleeping in space, these jokesters will have a wealth of material with which to carry on the gag.
