Weatherman rolls with weather map glitch, gives hilarious forecast

While some meteorologists were busy apologizing for inaccurate blizzard forecasts this week, Fox 10 weatherman Cory McCloskey was stuck explaining a weather map that was experiencing a hilarious technical glitch.

According to his map, it was 1350ºF, 1665ºF, 2960ºF, and 1270ºF in the greater Phoenix area Tuesday.

Fortunately, McCloskey was quick to adapt his forecast to the broken map:

“I’m not your dad, but I would get out while you still can,” he urged viewers after listing the impossibly high temperatures.

“Cave Creek, there’s probably nothing left up there right now,” he said. “So don’t even bother looting up there. It’s not gonna be worth it.”

Fox 10 Phoenix responded to the map error on Facebook:

"In the world of live news sometimes technology just doesn’t cooperate. That’s why it’s important to have smart people who can handle the heat,"

McCloskey’s hilarious forecast has gone viral.

“Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU, friends, for sharing my recent ridiculousness all over your Facebook walls! 3.6 million views? CRAZY! You’ve made for a really wild and hilarious ride this week!” McCloskey wrote to his viewers on Facebook.

In April 2013, 7News Denver’s meteorologist Lisa Hidalgo was also quick on her feet when the forecast didn’t go as planned. When the camera angle suddenly dropped to the floor, so did she, delivering the forecast on all fours.
