This woman from Kenya took “fake it ‘til you make it” a little too literally.

Sevelyn Gat couldn’t afford a trip to Asia, so she did the next best thing by hilariously editing herself into photos with recognizable Chinese landmarks in the background.

The Photoshop jobs (that are so bad they’re good) have amused people across the Internet, with thousands of people liking and sharing each photo.

The photos got so much traction that netizens took it upon themselves to edit Gat into photos with the hashtag #WhereIsSeveGatsNow. Their cheeky take on it ranges from her skydiving to hanging out with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

And when Nairobi business man Sam Girchuru caught wind of these amazing photos, he decided that there was really only one thing left to do: get Gat the trip she deserves, reports BBC.

By “harassing” his friends, Gichuru raised enough money for airfare, accommodations, and even pocket money to actually get Gat to China.

After sharing the awesome news with her, Gat thanked him for helping her dreams come true on Facebook.

Gat, who is gearing up for the trip of a lifetime, got her birth certificate last week and started applying for her passport on Thursday.

“I promise to not let [Gichuru] and you guys down,” she wrote to her supporters before writing that she is “looking forward to going to China.”

The trip is scheduled for this summer, and as Gichuru says, “the whole world is rooting for [her].”
