Young girl’s epic break up text message blows up on Twitter

breakup text message

She may be only 11-years-old, but the Twitter-verse was quick to praise this sassy little girl after her epic break-up text message quickly went viral.

It all started earlier this week when 17-year-old Madi Nickens tweeted out a picture of her younger sister’s personal message with the captions: “My sister’s officially break up with her bf (boyfriend).” From there it didn’t take long for the story to make the rounds online.

The drama all unfolded when the young middle school girl from Plano, Texas, found out her boyfriend named Joey was cheating.

The Nickens sister caught Joey red-handed going for a walk with another girl named Natalie, even after giving him two chances. And all he could muster up was an apology.

The middle schooler was clearly upset and told her (ex) boyfriend that she doesn’t want to talk to him anymore and that she didn’t even love him. But Joey wasn’t going down quietly and pointed out that she bought his Starbucks drink, so “you obviously loved me a little bit.”

Unfortunately hiss reply wasn’t nearly as hilarious as her comeback: “Ding ding ding oh what was that oh yeah the elevator cause you’re not on my level.”

Even BuzzFeed - known for its quizzes – made one just for this occasion and called it ‘Is He On Your Level?

Girls everywhere are saluting the younger Nickens sister for ending the relationship with class and a little bit of swagger.

Breakups are never easy but kudos to this young girl for coming up with a clever comeback. Well played, Madi’s sister, well played!
