Elderly woman hilariously defends young woman slut shamed on London transit

‘These days, it’s not uncommon for women to experience ‘slut shaming’ in public venues, and rarely do witnesses jump in to defend the victim.

So when a middle-age man reportedly criticized a young woman’s choice of clothing while riding the Tube in London, England, an elderly woman surprisingly came to the rescue and instantly became an internet hero.

Scott Sparrow shared is account of the incident on Facebook, and his tale has been receives more than 5,000 shares.

As the story goes, Sparrow was on the Tube (London’s underground transit system) on Monday evening, traveling between Oxford Circus and Chancery Lane when he witnessed the exchange unfold.

“To my right is sat a lady [sic], 25-30, wearing a revealing dress. To my left is an old lady, almost dead is how old she is,” Sparrow wrote.

“Standing in front of us is a man, 50s, suit and tie, eyeing revealing dress.”

The man apparently leans over to the lady in the dress lady and says: “Have some self respect when you dress yourself.”

The young woman, unsurprisingly embarrassed, “blushes to the colour of her almost-not-there dress.”

Appalled by his remark, the older woman to Sparrow’s left takes umbrage to the comment and hilariously lashes out at the man.

“She can wear or not wear whatever the f*** she likes, even if she was naked with a sign pointing to her fanny and the sign pointed to her fanny which said … PARTY CITY ALL INVITED … then that would still be none of your bloody business. Now f*** back to your bored wife!”

Well played, old lady to the left. Well played!

After such a super-sassy outburst, the young woman naturally hugged the older lady while the man reportedly walked away.

Sparrow added: “That old lady will be my hero for the rest of her life.”
