A missing woman who has been tied to a suspect in the Timothy Bosma murder investigation will be the subject of a news conference later today.

The Toronto police homicide squad will update the public on the disappearance of Laura Babcock, 23, who went missing from the city last summer. At the time, police determined the disappearance was not suspicious.

But investigators have recently taken a second look at the case, after she was connected to a man named as a murder suspect in a recent case.

Dellen Millard, 27, was charged with first-degree murder last month after the body of Tim Bosma was found burned beyond recognition on his property. Bosma disappeared early in May while giving two men a test drive in his truck.

Another man, Mark Smich, was also charged with first-degree murder and Hamilton police continue to search for one more suspect.

After Millard was named as a suspect in the Bosma case, Toronto police began taking a second look at two investigations with connections to the heir of the Millardair Inc. aviation company. His father Wayne is believed to have committed suicide last year by shooting himself in the face.

Millard is also believed to have been in contact with Babcock shortly before she disappeared. According to a police press release at the time, Babcock was last seen in the city's west end on the evening of June 26.

Toronto investigators have recently been spotted searching Millard's property, although it isn't clear whether that search was in connection to the Bosma investigation or something else.

CBC News previously reported that police sources said another body had been found on the property. But Hamilton police officials clarified that only the discovery of Bosma's body has been confirmed.

It is not clear what will be announced at the Babcock press conference, scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Homicide Det. Mike Carbone is expected to provide updates on the investigation.
