Whitehorse city council wants an elementary school downtown
Whitehorse city council passed a motion this week calling on the territorial government to keep an elementary school in the downtown core.It comes as the territory plans to shutter the École Whitehorse Elementary School building in the coming years, and replace it with a new school to be built beside Takhini Elementary School on Range Road. MONTREAL — Two Montreal police officers were justified in stopping and searching a man after they became suspicious of his "man purse" and his behaviour, a Quebec court judge has found. Fire bans announced in B.C. and Alberta as more than 170 wildfires burn
KAMLOOPS, B.C. — Fire bans are being imposed across much of British Columbia and Alberta, as the wildfire season gets off to an early start with more than 170 burning in both provinces.
