At Australian youth fundrasier, policewoman busts a move

Video of a Sydney police woman has received hundreds of thousands of hits, after she was filmed dancing in Martin Place.

On Friday, April 5, the Police Citizens Youth Club (PCYC) held a Time 4 Kids fundraiser at Martin Place, a pedestrian mall in Sydney, Australia's central business district.

Over $28,000 was raised for the youth development organization.

Local personalities "did time" in an open jail until their "bail" was raised.

"My original intention was to assist with the promotion of the event through social media," City of Sydney councillor Angela Vithoulkas told the Daily Telegraph. "But when I was asked if I would put on prison pyjamas I said I would love to."

She added, "This is such a great cause and it deserves local government representation. I had already raised my bail of $500!"

At the day-long community event, a visitor captured a man dancing with a policewoman at Martin Place on video. In the 10 days since the video was posted on YouTube, almost 1 million people have watched the policewoman bust a move.
