Best son ever surprises mom with Super Bowl tickets

Son surprises his tearful mum with Super Bowl tickets

Mike Harris' mom really loves the Seattle Seahawks.

In 1983, she skipped a welcome-home celebration when her team qualified for the conference championship because she was six months pregnant with Harris.

Harris and his parents tried to get tickets to see the team play in the 2005 Super Bowl, but realized they couldn't afford it.

They vowed they'd go the next time the Seahawks made it to the Super Bowl.

Unfortunately, because two family weddings were coming up, they decided they couldn't afford tickets this time, either — until Harris discovered that ticket prices were dropping due to cold weather and impossible travel situations for many football-loving Americans.

Harris decided to buy his mom tickets to her first-ever Super Bowl.

The mom was at the Seahawks' send-off, wishing her team well, with no idea that she would be cheering them on this Sunday. When she visited Harris after the send-off, he had her open the just-arrived FedEx package containing the long-awaited tickets.

He also caught her wonderful reaction on camera.

"Thirty years after she skipped their welcome home for my sake, I was able to return the favour in the biggest way I could ever think of. I'm excited to go see the game, but there was nothing more meaningful than to see my mom's reaction that I've shared in the video," Harris wrote on YouTube.
