Dancing carrot proposes to girlfriend in China

Because his girlfriend loves The Proclaimers, a Chinese man is walking 1,000 miles "to fall down at her door" and propose.

But, he's not the only man in China determined to customize a proposal to his beloved's interests.

Another man in China recently proposed while dressed as a dancing carrot because his girlfriend loves the colour orange. To make things better and more orange, he was surrounded by 48 friends also in carrot costumes.

In the eastern city of Qingdao, on August 6th, considered China's Valentine's Day, Pan Kun spoke through the costume's microphone to his surprised girlfriend.

"I met you for the first time six months ago," Kun, nicknamed "the Carrot Brother" by the Chinese online community once the video went viral, declared in Chinese. "It's still crystal clear in my mind. Your bashfulness during our first dinner date, the way I felt when I saw you to your apartment door, the way you trembled when I reached to hold your hand when we went to the movies for the first time."

By the time he removed his disguised, nearby shoppers were chanting "marry him."

She accepted.

MSNBC says that the proposal took three weeks to plan and cost $15,000.

Hopefully the impressive cost wasn't deducted from their wedding budget.
